Originally from Gladstone, New Jersey, Kristin joined the lab as a clinical research coordinator in June 2018. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Virginia with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Bioethics. She spent three years as a research assistant with the Social Behavior and Cognition Lab, studying the way in which increased concern for personal safety can affect cognitive function. At the BBL, Kristin is the coordinator for Dr. Satterthwaite’s longitudinal neuroimaging study mapping network development underlying executive dysfunction in adolescence. She plans on pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology, researching the neural mechanisms that underlie symptoms of PTSD in survivors of sexual assault and gendered violence. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys kickboxing, live music and baking elaborate desserts for her family and friends.
